Okey dokey  ;D

Ann Fish (my great great grandmother) b21Jun1845 in Blackburn, m Richard Gifford in 1866, and died in 1920.

Her parents James Fish and Lettice Hayhurst married in 1838 at Manchester Cathedral but both died young c1849 leaving their children orphans (I know Ann had brothers called Joseph and Richard but there could be others I'm not sure).

James Fish's father was called Richard Fish and he was a weaver (wasn't everyone?!) but I don't know much more.

Any info would be gratefully received!

Hi,

It's possibly me that's responsible for the "massive tree" of FISH from Darwen and Blackburn. I can help out with the Fish FISH and Shepherd FISH mentioned above but I prefer email so that I can send PDf files if necessary.

Me again,

Going back to the top of this thread, there is a James & Lettice FISH living at Bottoms in Darwen in 1851. Could this be the same couple as you don't give ages?
