Hello d. hardie,

The Coleraine Borough Council manages five active cemeteries - Coleraine, Portrush (Ballywillan), Agherton, Portstewart and Kilrea - as well as ten old cemeteries which
are located in the Borough. www.colerainebc.gov.uk/show.php?id=245

Hello,
1831 census for Co.Londonderry gives James M Hardy Kilcronaghan
                                                                     John Hardy Artrea
                                                                     William Hardy Artrea
These parishes are at the south of the county so might not be much use
Stewart, Irwin, Morrison, Haslett, Murrell - Dungiven area Co. Londonderry
Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh
Neil, Smyth _Co. Antrim

None of those parishes are that close to Coleraine. Presumably if Thomas Hardy was buried in Coleraine (Cemetery?) he would have lived in the town or very near to it.
See that d.hardie hasn't been back here for a while.
Matthew Hardy will likely appear in Scottish census records, etc. and with more details it might be possible to get information on the family connection in Coleraine.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
