Hello Jillie42,

My husband's family came from Co Clare and when in Ireland I began talking to very helpful ladies in the Tourist Info Centre in Killaloe who were able to direct us to people on the family tree and also cemeteries that had useful info. The ladies were great and had a great deal of local knowledge. I think local is a good way to go.

Thanks Del,

Hubby and I know we are going to hve to go back to Ireland fairly soon. I just want to get a feel for what West Cork and Kerry is like. We've both been putting it off though as out first trip to Ireland several years ago was not a success. I swore I'd never go back.........that was before I started this Family history lark and discovered I'd got irish ancestors.
