I was in the library yesterday and found some infomation about a William Williams who came to South Australia in 1854.

WILLIAM WILLIAMS.

William Williams was born c1821 in Gloucester, England.

ARRIVAL FROM OVERSEAS.

William Williams, occupation listed on the passenger list record as a Carpenter, of Middlesex, married aged 26 years, and wife Emma Ann aged 27 years, arrived in South Australia 14th March 1854 aboard the "Hyderbadad".

BIRTH.

Emma Ann, daughter of John Sutton & Elizabeth Holbrook was born 1825 in Gloucester.

MARRIAGE

William Williams married 30th July 1853 in St. Marylebone Church, London Middlesex to Emma Ann Sutton.

CHILDREN BORN TO WILLIAM WILLIAMS & EMMA ANN SUTTON IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA.

1. Alice Ida born 18th July 1854 in Adelaide.

Alice Ida died 6th May 1925 in Hospital, gore, Waikaia, Southland New Zealand.

2. Maud Winifred born 28th November 1857 in Back Creek, Sandhurst, Victoria.

MARRIAGE

Alice Ida Williams married Michael Moffitt 7th October 1872 at Waikaia

1. Gilbert born 10th April 1898 at Waikia Southland Southland New Zealand.

2. Alexander born 11th April 1887 at Waikia Southland New Zealand3. George Sutton born 24th April at Waikia Southland New Zealand.

4. Margaret Iabella born 1st November 1874 at Waikia Southland New Zealand.

5. Michael born 1st November 1876 in Waikia Southland, New Zealand

6. John Phillip born 23rd November 1884 in Waikia Southland New Zealand

7. Alice Mary born 26th November 1888

8. Percy born 27th November 1894 at Invercargill New Zealand

9. Clarence Armstreong born 30th November 1891 in Waikia Southland New Zealand.

10. William born 24th Decemeber 1878 in Gore, Invercargill New Zealand



DEATHS.

1.  William Williams died 17th March 1896 at Waikaia Southland New Zealand.

2. Emma Ann died 18th April 1858 in Victoria, Australia

3. Alice Ida died 6th May 1925 in hospital at Gore Waikaia, Southland New Zealand.

MOFFITT DEATHS

1. Gilbert died 1st October 1978

2. Alexander died 9th October 1857 at Auckland

3. George Sutton died 26th November 1966 in Auckland

4. Margaret Isabella died 12th January 1926 in West Taieri Otage

5. Michael died 7th March 1959 in Invercargill

6. John Phillip died 27th Decemebr 1951 in Auckland

7. Percy died 12th April 1972 at Invercargill

8. Clarence ARmstrong died 26th November 1917 in France, serving in W.W.1.

9. William died 20th October 1947 in Gore, Invercargill.

I'm not terribly familiar with New Zealand records, so I hope the above is of at least help.
