Still looking for a Smith  :(

I've gone back to the 18th century on all but one line, and back to the 16th on a couple and no Smiths in the direct lines. I haven't traced many siblings forward yet, so I'll probably find a couple on the dark and dusty outskirts, but none yet

Or Jones's. And only one Brown (Elizabeth. She creeped in by a marriage in 1826!)

I'm very 'local' you see, and we don't allow Big Town names round our way, no sir!

So true! Luckily, mine stayed in the Brighton area, and I can definitely go back to Thomas born 1794, but I've been given details which I need to check for the line back to an Edward Winchester born in 1540.

Interesting, one of my lines goes back to Edward Winchester born 1835 in Patcham.  I believe that's near Brighton
