That registry Mechanic is pretty good Patricia. Thanks for the link. Did you just run the trial version?

Just has another thought. ::)
Have tried this cookie cleaner. ???
It was reccomended on Rootschat.
I have used it and my puter runs so much more efficiently now.
You will need to log on again to any sites that you don't log out of. I never log out at all. It get rid of old links so freeing up space.
I am not saying it will solve your Ancestry problem but it is worth a try.

               Patricia  :)

I don't think it's a cookie issue; I regularly clean mine out and use a password manager to make life easier.

But Patricia - could you do me a favour? Do a search for someone in the "Pallot Marriage Index", save the result in your "Shoebox" and try deleting it. It would be interesting to see if it's only me suffering from this. ;D

Hi  :)
I have done as you asked  ::)
I put two separate Pallot entries in the shoe box  :P and also an 1881 census.
I was able to delete the census reference but not the Pallots  :o
So it must be Ancestry who have messed up somewhere along the line .
You may quote my efforts to them, so they can see it is their problem and not your's  :P
               Good Luck
Patricia  ;) Who now has two unwanted bits of junk in her shoe box  ;D  ;D  ;D

Got another e-maill today from Ancestry support giving me an 0800 number to call. Spoke to a tech who eventually discovered that there's a fault in the script of the "Save to Shoebox" button which in turn generates an incorrect script when it comes to trying to delete Pallot's search results in particular. He said he'd submit a bug report and hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I earned a brownie point for giving them the heads up. :P

Well done.  8)
It takes folk like us to find their bugs.  :o
I am sure there are more  ::) as I said previously the site is being revamped and they must miss some things.
Perhaps they will treat you to a free sub  :P
