1861 Census for Hunmanby. Completed with thanks.

I am looking for the Leonard branch of the family in 1861.

In 1851 there were 3 branches of the Leonard family living in Hunmanby (Sorry no ref. nos.).

There was :

John Leonard,  Head, married age 71 Pauper Goathland/Scalby??
Elizabeth Leonard his wife age 66 from Burniston.
Living in Hungate, Hunmanby

Richard Leonard, head, married age 34, Ag lab, born Scalby
Elizabeth his wife age 31 from Guisbro'
Samuel his son age 7 born Hunmanby
James, his son age 5 from Hunmanby
Sarah his daughter age 2 from Steers??
living in Bridlington St. Hunmanby

George Leonard, head married age 34 Ag lab from Scalby
Jane his wife age 37 from Bridlington
William his son age 5 from Hunmanby
Harrieson his sons age 2 from Hunmanby
living in Stone Gate, Hunmanby

In 1871 & 1881 the family are still living in Hunmanby.  By 1891 there are no Leonards living in Hunmanby.  The surviving children have moved in with there Grandmother Sarah Mason in Scarbrough.

I would like information on the Leonards still living in Hunmanby in 1861 if that is possible, esp. Richard & Elizabeth Leonard.

Thank you in anticipation,

Louise

Hello,

Thank you for the information that you both sent.  I now know that Richards second wife died before 1861 & that he remarried between 1861 & 1871.

Thanks once again,

Louise
