My gggrandfather was Gilbert Anderson ( b.1818) of Whitekirk, Haddington who married Mary Anderson (b.1810) of Whitekirk, Haddington, seemingly no relation.
Gilbert's parents were Adam Anderson and Margaret Lamb (his 2nd wife)
Mary's parents were Thomas Anderson and Elizabeth Moffatt.
I should be interested to hear from anyone researching this family.  Callywoods
