Hi Keith

..and don't forget that you should store them with acid-free wrappings when you've finished.

Everything Keith, everything ;D

Actually, I didn't see your comment about the photo album. It's just that I had it drummed into me by my photography tutor about acid free - you'd think that we were a load of junkies 8) 8) 8)

Maybe you could put something about it on your website - what's the url again :o :o :o

Anna
You can get acid-free tissue, mounts, sticky strips, etc. from most good art shops and photographic shops.

Hi anna,

You can buy acid-free paper at most good art supply shops, and from conservation suppliers.  There are lots around, if you let me know where you live, I can probably hunt down the most convenient.

I don't like the term "acid-free" myself, as I think it can mislead people either deliberately or inadvertently.  What you need to look for is paper that is "pH neutral" or "archival" or "conservation grade/quality" or "photo safe".  That applies to plastics, too - there are some good archival storage systems available that are made from plastics such as polypropylene, and these are photo safe.

If you want more info, just give me a yell  :)
