Hello! Not sure if anyone will see this as it is an old topic, but I have recently started doing some family tree research and came upon this string. Mary Dexter is my great-great-great grandmother (Edith Casson is my great-great grandmother). I have had no success finding out Mary's maiden name or anything about her other than an approximate year of birth. I believe her husband's name is John Dexter, but that's all I know about him. Any info any of you have from your research would be welcome and appreciated. If you are searching for others in this Casson line, I may have lots of info for you. Thanks from a newbie.  :)

Hello,

There is a tree on Ancestry which has the surname as Peter Roberts and Sarah Musson, and there is a match on Freereg

The marriage of Peter and Mary is on Freereg as 23 May 1770

Place - Witham on the Hill
Church - St. Andrew
Baptism Date - 30 May 1790
Forename - Mary
Father Forename - Peter
Mother Forename - Sarah
Father Surname - ROBERTS
Abode -  Manthorpe
Notes - The entry is obscure, and the father might be Peter or John. The surname might otherwise be DELERTS.

Looking at an image of the entry, I am certain that it is Roberts and there is a baptism to the same parents in 1780 - Sarah on 14th August

There is no church at Manthorpe and Witham would be the nearest - both very attractive villages, particularly Witham.
