It seems to have no bearing on the contours of her head! Mind you, when I did my nurse training in London I wore a ridiculous creation and its amazing what you can do with 150 hair grips! She would have looked better if she had swopped it with the flower pot on the table!!!

That hat is truly horrifying  :o :o :o  Looks like about 1910 to me, that's when ridiculously enormous hats came into vogue.
