tailor, Edinburgh 1864
« on: Monday 27 March 06 18:39 BST (UK) »
I have the 1864 discharge papers for my ancestor Sergeant James Logan who served with the 92nd Gordon Highlanders.
His trade was a tailor and the papers said he was intending to live in Edinburgh. I can't find anything to say that he did.

From the discharge papers I've deduced he was born in April 1825 in the parish of Govan, Renfrew but am unable to find records on IGI or ScotlandsPeople.

Does anyone recognise this man or know how I can get somesort of birth certificate/notification?
