ALAN is the surname
« on: Monday 27 March 06 20:40 BST (UK) »
Hi

Does anyone know if there were any instances of the surname ALAN in the Birkenhead area in the 1960's/1970's?  I know that is possible this is the wrong spelling for the surname I am looking into but I thought that I'd try this first.

Thanks
Joanne  :)

Hi Joanne
Alan as a surname is usually spelled Allen. I don't know about the name in the 60's/70's.But in the phone book there is a whole column of Allen surnames for wirral. The name is still in Birkenhead.
