Had to supply a contact address for someone who would kno how to get in touch with them.

Forgot to mention Cis or Cissie is a common Irish nickname sometimes for Cecilia but more often shortened form of 'sister' with Christian name being anything like Mary, Ann, etc.

"Eithne" makes sense, since I recall one of the names as Etna, being the Anglicized form of EITHNE

and

Betty for Elizabeth.

Hello Jessica,

How good it is to make contact!  :D

As you must have gathered, I have been searching for family contacts for a couple of years, so it's wonderful to hear from you.

I have been in touch with last year with one of the Fitzpatrick family in California, in the middle of June 2007, and she passed on to me what information she had obtained from another in Dublin, Ireland, so I have built up some details of the family, but there are still a lot of gaps.  I was also briefly in touch with him in Dublin, but he has not responded to my emails after our initial contact.

I'll have a go at sending you my email address off-line, which would probably be better.

regards
Tony

dear Tony
I guess because I don't have enough posts on this site..I am unable to get a personal message at this point ..perhaps we can chat on this forum until they let me..I can tell you that my mother had two sisters the oldest was Eithne and she had a twin sister named Una. My 5th grade daughter was going on a school trip to Ellis Island today so we looked up my grand parents names to see if she could look for them there and here was all of this info on my family..knew nothing of my family in Ireland..didn't even know my Grandmother's name was Fitzpatrick as both Grandparents passed before I was born. How neat. I am planning on going to Ireland in the not too distant future would love to know more.
                  Best Jessica
