Certainly looks like Rifle Brigade, why not a walking out belt though????, the up and over belt for attaching cartridge pouches were not the most comfortable to wear and thats an understatement.
Rifle buttons with Victorian Crown
Looks like Black tunic cuffs so not KRRC
Period, about 1890 to 1902
Swagger stick a prop, thought that comes to mind, could it be a photographer coming to barracks to set up a photo shoot as I have never seen an RB soldier out withut a walking out belt, could explain the belt with attachments for cartridge pouches.
Only other option is one of the many rifle volunteer regiments of that time that did sometimes purchase rifle buttons.

Andy
The Rifle Brigade in WW1, particularly the 8th Battalion.

Is that a ring he's wearing on the little finger of his left hand? If so, its a bit of a large one.

Did photo studios have "dressing up" boxes, for clients to choose an outfit for a photo session? That may explain the anomlies in the photo. Maybe he just wanted to look like a soldier for the day.
