Hi Paul
I live in Wisbech and I know the library has some of the parish registers on micro fiche, but there is a web site you could try
Wisbech and the Fenlands
I think the web site is http://contueor.com/wisbech/

Paul.

Hello Paul

The Wisbech & Fenland Museum is designated a parochial record office & holds registers for 28 parishes, too many for me to list here but if you'd like to tell me which villages you're interested in I'll have a look on their brochure. They also hold parish chest material - vestry minutes & accounts, poor law records, tithe ditribution etc for many parishes.

Or you can phone them - 01945 583817 or e-mail them - wisbechmuseum[AT]beeb.net

Hello Paul

From the museum's leaflet they list, for Wisbech:

Wisbech St Augustines Baptisms 1870-1977, Banns 1960-1983, Marriages 1870-1982

Wisbech St Mary Baptisms 1557-1880, Banns 1754-1863 & 1905-1945, Marriages 1557-1960, Burials 1557-1879

Wisbech St Peter Baptisms 1558-1949, Banns 1754-1803 & 1813-1948, Marriages 1558-1950, Burials 1558-1938

Wisbech St Peter (Octagon Church) Baptisms 1878-1946, Burials 1830-1939

Wisbech, United Reformed Church Baptisms 1819-1866, Composite 1889-1923

Leverington Rd, Wisbech Cemetery Burials 1836-1966

I'm afraid I have no idea where the Horse Fair was, maybe someone else can help you there.

Brenda

Hi Paul
The horse fair is where the bus station is now. the nearest church to it is St Peter's & St Paul's , which is near the town centre. who are you looking for?.If I have a few mins to spare I could have a look for you, at the records for you.

Hi Ricky,

Thanks for the offer.

If you could look up Vincent Bouch for me. He was born approx 1814 in Wisbech.

Also, his marriage to Mary Ann ????? approx 1835.

Many Thanks,

Paul.
