William Dryland and Annie Punnett married 1889
« on: Wednesday 29 March 06 18:51 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have connections to William Dryland born at Brabourne abt 1867 and Annie Punnett born abt 1869 somewhere in Kent (unable to find a birth on the www1837 site)

Annie Punnett was possibly the daughter of John James Punnett and Emma nee Wright. I am waiting for the marriage certificate, but would be interested in any family connections.

many thanks Heather nee Punnett

No connection but I see she married as Annie Mary and so wonder if she could be the Mary Ann registered Elham in June quarter 1868 Elham RD or can you eliminate her?

And, possibly the Ann age 2 born Elham 1871 census in Smeeth RG10/961 folio 34 page 21 who is listed as Mary Ann age 12 b.Elham in 1861 at Brabourne in 1881 RG11/950 folio 5 page 3.  Can post the full details if you don't already have them.

Hi there

I thought that Mary Ann registered 1868 was daughter of James Punnett, as on the census it gives her year of birth as 1867 which is close, but maybe I should send for the certificate to make sure. Many thanks for the info. I have only just found the Punnett family on the 1871 census. Emma's other 5 children were in the union workhouse at Lyminge in 1871. Strangly I borrowed my sisters postcard collection recently and there is a postcard signed Annie in
1932 to Minnie Punnett, they could have been sisters in law.

Thank you for all your help Heather
