Marsh Bromley Kent
« on: Saturday 09 October 04 09:39 BST (UK) »
My Grandmother Mabel Bull Married a ? Marsh, who died.  She then married, at the age of 23, my Grandfather Samuel Walter Bradford on 29 May 1916.  Samuel Walter Bradford also died 6 years later (what was she doing to them!!!) It would be nice to know the name of ? Marsh and any details, whether they had children etc.  Also any details on my Grandfather, Samuel, he was 21 when he married Mabel.  Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Hi Ady

This is an old request so I don't know if you are still looking for this information but there is a marriage Mabel BULL to Frederick E MARSH September quarter 1913 West Ham (East London/Essex) registration district ref. 4a 444

I wonder if Frederick died in World War One ................... it would be the right time frame if it is the correct marriage ???

There is an F E MARSH who died WW1 http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=323138 and I can confirm (from the medal rolls) that he died of wounds and was a Frederick E MARSH - I wonder if this is your man ???

Regarding children, there is a birth registration for an Ernest G MARSH (mother's maiden name of BULL) December quarter 1914 West Ham registration district ref. 41 820 http://freebmd.rootsweb.com

If you are still looking for information on Samuel BRADFORD, perhaps you could tell us what you are looking for and some further information from the marriage certificate ie. age/occupation/address/father's name & occupation and names of the marriage witnesses.

Just to add, in case it is the correct man:

Frederick Ernest MARSH driver Royal Horse Artillery 58522 born Walthamstow resident London.

In the absence of any further information, I am guess that this is Samuel Walter BRADFORD (approximately right age/area etc.):
