Hi Folks.
I have details of my g g grandaprents's marriages. I would like to obtain some records for their parents (my GGG's). I have searched all the usual websites/avenues.

John Linday (23yrs) married Elizabeth Summers (20yrs) 20 Sep 1859 Glasgow 644/4 Entry 375. 

Looking for BMD's of John's parents:
Euphemia Anderson - married John Lindsay (a Weaver).

Looking for BDM's for Elizabeth's  parents:
Janet Reid - married George  Summers ( a Flesher).

Also my other gg's John Laidlaw (23y) married Janet Smith (26y) 1st Aug 1879, 641 Douglas Entry 19.  John was from Smallburn Muirkirk.

I am looking for John's parents BMD's:
Agnes Veitch - married John Laidlaw (Engine Keeper) Smallburn.

also for janet's parents:
Janet Sloan - married Thomas Smith (cotton Weaver).

I really have done a lot of searching - and can not match up these people.
I wish to purchase their certificates.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thankyou in anticipation.

You can search and download images of all BMD's from 1855
from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk  You can also search for births and marriages before that period, but as yet there are no images on line, but you can order them via this site.  Pre 1855 marriage cert or banns do not give any info. on parent's names unless you are extremely lucky.  You can also search the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census for Scotland here too.  Debit/credit charges apply on this site.
