Hiya Jen,

Ancestry has births from 1837-1983, I've searched from 1903-1911 but can't find a birth record for Sonny Knowles.  I'm not sure which registration district Pendleton comes under so couldn't really narrow it down for you.  Sorry I can't help more!

The BMD is not complete as there are many people whose births I know who are not on the register. Also the site- familyrelatives. Too may missing to be reliable. The only one for sure is the GRO. They have this in SLC so will look therre. Salford is the registration district. I see the 1841 census will be up soon on Ancestry. The problem for me will be Manchester which is almost impossible to read.
