Toll House Battle

Hi all,
   I have just been looking into the Census details for one of my relatives, Benny Eversfield. In both 1851 & 1861, she is listed as being a Toll Collector at Battle, living at either Toll House, or Toll Gate House, with here Daughter Maria Sellens & Grandaughter Mary Willard Sellens.
   Does anybody know where i might find any details about the possible location for this property and if it even still exists, as i have tried looking on Google but no luck.

Have a look at the neighbours and see where they lived.  You should be able to follow the enumerator's route and discover where the toll house was.   There may have been several so you need to check it.  For instance in 1851 Folio 422 Toll House is in District 1f Folios 418 - 429 - "that part of the parish of Battle which lies East and Southeast of the town commencing at James Saxby's Blackfriars Gate  on to John Crowhurst, Beanford, Nortons farm " etc, etc.  If you find where your entry is then you can place it accurately.
