Alfred the Errand Boy

Their ages ranged from 13 to 16.

If the names Alfred BAKER, Alfred RANDALL. Frederick CARTER,
Frederick ATKINS, Alfred MARSHALLSAY, and Robert CHICK were listed, some folks might recognize them as Dorset names throughout the Centuries.

In fact all of them were residents of Weymouth at various times from the 1850's to 1890's.  As teenagers, they all served as errand boys.  Young Alfred Baker,  is a younger brother of
William George BAKER, who was a shoemaker in Weymouth & Bournemouth.

Some of the Irish born children that moved to England also did their bit.  One example is Irekan's own Alfred Edward NOBBS.  He along with Charles ROPER served as butcher's erand boys in the early 1890's.
Zelley,  Lovell, Godbold, Woods, Phillips, Lewis, Emery,
Magee, Baker, White. Flisher, Kyne, Tilston, Valence/Vallens,
Mabb/Mabbe, Bellamy, Selley, Martha Smith, Arno (of Dartmouth, Devon}.
Dorset, London, Warwick, East Anglia, Kent,  Devon
North Wales          

The ancestors lived here and there, in many scattered
places, with various occupations
