can't say I've ever heard of it, and I couldn't find it on the map either. Can you give some more details? i.e. which census, and the names of the streets before and after the entry?

I wonder if you are meaning the town of Denbigh. The town of St Asaph is in Flintshire but Denbigh (I think) comes under St Asaph for registration.
There is definitely a Love Lane and a Bull Lane in Denbigh still and that is why I suggest this solution. They are also adjacent to each other. Have a look at one of the mapping web sites.
