HI
 Thank you
I think but I am not sure the farmer may be the one . Reason the william Davies  nailer does not fit .
You see  a Ann Davis/ Davies  b Risca believed to have ran off with a George Collins married under age. the family story goes Ann's father was a man of property so the farm is a better one.
I am confused because I have a marriage certificate for Ann Davis and a George Collins Cardiff 1843 at the Tabenacle chapel Cardiff but now I have a  Ann and George Collins living cardiff 1841 census as a green grocer. No other marriage for these two earlier. Also on that marriage cert gives Ann's father as collier could they have been telling porkies!
 cheers cardiff

Hi Cardiff,

I rechecked the 1841 disc I do not have a George and Ann on mine. There is only one Smith Street in Glam 1841 that comes up on mine and that is in Cardiff.

I do not think my disc is missing any data, but I suppose anything is possible. Perhaps there was a confusion with the 1861 info as no details where posted for reference in 1841.  I would ask for clarification of details just to confirm.

There are only 2 George Collins 1841 Glam one is 11 yr old the other is 30 yrs old living in Bridge street and a plasterer. I have seached for all soundex names as well.

There are a few Ann Davis some working as Female servants, the other was as posted.  I could not find any other with father William of the right age.

Hope this helps you

Cas
