Hadd Wynn - The Bard

I have some notes on a rellie that say she was related to Hadd Wynn The Bard. Has anyone ever heard of this character or do you have any idea where I might find out about him?

Liverpool Lass, it should read Hedd Wynn the Bard, if you google this you will find lots of information, as he was quite famous, he even had a film made about his life, he is buried in Artillery wood in YPRES,

I have just spent a fascinating hour googling this topic! Do you know if I can get an English translation of his poems? I remember visiting the Eiseddfod in Llangollen as a child and being so fired up by what I'd seen and heard I joined a choir. I'm still singing all these years later!

Liverpool Lass, if you google Hedd Wynn +translation you will get lots of information about his family, and where to get hold of English versions of his work, I am unable to help as unfortunately I cannot speak my own language because I was raised in England,

Thanks Falkyrn. Have printed these off so that I can compare them with photographs I have in an album.

I'm trying not to get too excited about the ancestor link as I am still trying to confirm it but researching it has been educational!!
