hello I am grand daughter of John and Mary McBride of Dunoon and would be interested to hear from you as we have the same great grandparents  My mother Catherine died last year but has a cousin still alive who is daughter of Susan a sister of my grandfather. I am assuming your grandmother would have been Katie? I visit Dunoon regularly to tend the graves something I promised my grandmother Mary Caldwell (McBride) and I may be able to help a little bit with your search. Look forward to hearing from you!

My dad  James Caldwell  McBride born Feb 11,1938 was the youngest son of John McBride and Mary Caldwell. We immigrated to Canada in 1965. Our Uncle John McBride born Dec 29, 1925 came in 1967-1968 to live with us. They were the only sons to John and Mary.

John was never married and didn't have any children.

Cathrine (married to Niven)was the only daughter  she had  2  children Cathrine and Isobel as far as i know she had 4 grandsons

While my dad James, (married to Mairaid) and had 8 children,18 grandchildren;and there are now 9 great grandchildren

Hi, my name is Karen, my Gran was Catherine Mcbride, sister to John Mcbride who was married to Mary Caldwell, so your dad was the son of John and Mary, as you can see from previous posts their daughter Catherine ( your auntie?) died but I am in contact with Catherine's daughter, would love to hear more from you xx
