Barton and Harris in Bideford
« on: Saturday 08 April 06 22:28 BST (UK) »
I am researching the HARRIS and BARTON families in Bideford/Appledore N. Devon from 18C to the present. I would be happy to compare and share information with anyone interested.

Sorry I was not very clear. I have identified about 60 first and second cousins of my mother all born in hte Bideford area late 19C & early 20C. As far as I can ascertain nearly all the Harris's in the area have common roots. To trace their descendents into the 20/21 centuary is a manmouth task and I was hoping somebody else has done the same task as I. The coomon root for the Harris name is James harris b. 1795 in Northam (married Mary Kelly) and for Barton is Barnabas Barton b. 1819 married to Ann Bale in Northam.

Regards

Brian
