 She does look rather well to do doesn't she .... ?   :D  Any idea whatdate this could be ?

Thank you all so much for your time and talents - my only problem now is which one to use in my write up.

For those who were wondering the lady is Emily Payton, she was born in 1860 in Chelsea and we think the photo was taken about 1880 - she was the daughter of a shoe maker, so tradespeople - not overly wealthy this is another one of her taken about 5 years later (after her marriage to an Italian waiter)

Now I want to know what was in the locket it seemed very important to her as she wore it in both pictures.

Sorry I don't know what was in the locket - or what happened to it - Emily died in 1892 and her children either went into service or to relatives to bring up, her husband remarried, I suppose it is lucky that the pictures survived
