I have a George Slesser in my family tree. Born appoximately 1806, died 1856.  Married to Elizabeth Robertson. Son of Alexander Slesser and Mary McKay.  Brother of my great-great grandfather John Slesser. Any connection?

There is a family of Slessors living in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, where they own a car dealership.  There is also a street named after them.  No idea if there is a connection to the Aberdeenshire Slessors.  I had always thought it was a Dutch name.....who knew!

[My Husband spoke with the son of the owner of the Dealership in Grimsby about 20 years ago and he said his Father's family were from Aberdeen.
