looking for information on Alexander Tipping, a labourer, according to his daughter's (Eliza) marriage certificate.Eliza married Henry Cardwell, son of Robert Cardwell at Clonoe Parish Church in 1863.All and any info welcome.

can only find one reference to Alexander and thats in Belfast very few with that Spelling of TIPPING

Hiya OTTO,

I looked at Griffith's Valuation of Ireland. Co. Tyrone 1851 It seemed to be the obvious place to look as you mentioned both the county and townland.

The Valuation mentioned ... Alexander Tipping, Meenagh, Clonoe. Tyrone

There were other Tippings in Tyrone ..
John in the Parish of Drumglass and Nathaniel and William in the Parish of Ardstraw.
