Rose family , Peckham, 1871

Looking for Harriet Rose bc1870 in the 1871 census. Found a possible candidate staymng with Grandparents in 1881 census living in Camberwell ans showing harriet as born in Peckham. I am trying to ;ovate her living with parents in 1871. Believe that fathers name is Robert and mother possibly another Harriet.

Found one of the right age with mother Harriet, but fathers name is John, they are living in Carshalton :)

there is a Harriet A rose-but not the parents you wanted

126 New Church Rd (by St Georges Canal in Camberwell)
John f 27 timber merchant assistant b Kent Rd Camberwell (which would fit with Peckham parents)
mary A 26 b Southwark
harriet a 1 camberwell
mary a. m. 4m camberwell

could be that John is a brother to the robert you are looking for

(btw, you probably know that peckham is a part of camberwell parish)

I can find a Robert Rose married to Louisa in Camberwell (maybe Harriett hadn't put in an appearance by the time of the census)
what were the names of the grandparents? mother Caroline is visiting the household

I found the grandparents she's living with in 1881, living at the same address in 1871, if this is the right family Robert can't be her father:

RG 10/736 131 page 17
93 New Church Road, Camberwell
John Rose, 50, Timber Merchant, b. Bucks Uring (?)
Harriet Isabella, 48, wife, b. Norfolk Stowe
Harriet Isabella, 20, dau
Joseph, 17, son, assistant to his father
Annie, 11, dau, scholar
Robert, 10, son, scholar (all children b. Camberwell)
Harry Perowne, 20, nephew, assistant to his uncle, b. Middlesex Dalton
Jane McCoy, 17, servant, b. Scotland

I think the family mc8 found with the John aged 27, a timber merchant assistant, would fit nicely with this family - living just up the road, too!  In 1881  that family are still around but Harriet is not living with them.

John Rose m. 1 Feb 1842 St. Dunstan Stepney to Harriette Isabella Perowne.

I have Harriet Isabella Perowne married to John Rose. I have her parents as William and Anne.
