Place of birth - Eliza BOWERING

Hi, I have one line of my familytree that is currently nagging away in the back of my mind and was wondering if anybody could help me or not. I have an ancestor called Eliza Bowering born 1793/1794 in Axminster according to the censuses who married and spent most of her life in Chard. Somebody has checked the Axminster parish registers for me however and can't find her anywhere and I can't find her on the IGI. Please can anybody suggest other places worth trying.

Would be very grateful for any help anybody can give me.

     Was Bowering her maiden or married name? i have a James Bowering b1794 married to an Elizabeth known as
 Eliza,
      just fishing for clue's

Hi Jack, Bowering was her maiden name.
