KA,

Thomas Reed Gibson was the 2nd born not the first born according to the parish record

Nicholas Gibson was first and said father Thomas was from Whitley so could be either

The handwriting is so tiny.

The marriage of Thomas Gibson and Isabella Brown was by license and you can see it on the Family Search website (206 of 993).  Thomas attested to being forty years old and Isabella was 29, both attested to being a bachelor/spinster.  The license was granted 20th of March and they married in Earsdon 22 Mar 1801

At 40 years old the best baptism for Thomas Gibson in Tynemouth Christ Church was 29 Jun 1760 son of Robert Gibson

I thought 29 and 40 was a little old but then I thought--my husband was 37 and I was 28 when we married--so maybe not so unusual.
