birth or marriage certs. - Monmouthshire

I'm trying to trace the parentage of John King born 1874 in Crickhowell; married to Elizabeth J. Evans born in Llechfaen in 1877. In 1901 he was married and living in Bedwellty Pits. In1891 he was living with his aunt, Sarah Plummer in Sirhowy and in 1881 was in the same house living with his grandparents Plummer who were born in Holcombe, Somerset.

Which certificates were you looking for? Have you tried contacting the local registry office for Elizabeth's birth certificate?  There are 2 Elizabeth Jane Evans who may fit both born 1878 registered in Bedwelty.  Could one of these be her?

Did you realise that you can search the BMD register online via Ancestry? her is the link for the Births

Possible marriage on FREE BMD
