Amersham--1822-1842
« on: Tuesday 18 April 06 15:46 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any historical infomation concerning Amersham , during the period 1822--1842, Example------ What was the main employment ?
      How many people lived their?
I am trying to build up a picture of what life was like in Amersham, as a relative was born there and in 1842 he joined the SAINT HELENA REGIMENT and was never to return to England again. Surely Amersham wasn`t that bad!!!!!
                      Thanks
                           Kenith.
