Markwick Charles
« on: Wednesday 19 April 06 18:44 BST (UK) »
I am looking for Charles Markwick who is shown on the Commonwealth  graves Commission or CWGC Database as parents being Robert Markwick and Kate Markwick and resident in battersea although born in Brighton.  he died 26/04/1915  aged 26.

I cannot find Charles Markwick and Robert Markwick together on the 1901 census

Charles had a brother Albert Edward markwick who was born feb 1907  who married Louise tyrrell who went onto have 4 sons

Can anyone help

Thanks

And parents' marriage, again from FreeBMD..

Marriages - June Quarter 1884 - Brighton - Vol 2b page 406

Robert MARKWICK   and on same page Kate NOBLE

If you get the certificate it will give you both parties' fathers/occupations etc

Brother Albert...

Births March Quarter 1907 - Wandsworth - Vol 1d page 541
Albert E MARKWICK

and other possibles.. all Wandsworth

Births Sep Q 1901 - Vol 1d page 579
Rose MARKWICK

Births Mar Q 1902 - Vol 1d page 645
Violet Sarah J MARKWICK

Births June Q 1903 - Vol 1d page 519
David Charles MARKWICK

Births March Q 1904 - Vol 1d page 594
Caroline Annie   MARKWICK

Births June Q 1909 - Vol 1d page 530
Thomas William   MARKWICK

Births March Q 1910 - Vol 1d page 617
Herbert Arthur MARKWICK

There were a couple of others which overlapped Albert, so there must have at leats two MARKWICK families producing kids in the area - Wandsworth District covered Battersea by the way  :)
