1841 census or births lookup Edinburgh

Looking for family of DAVID JOHNSTON  born 1805 Muirkirk a China and Stonewear Merchant listed at Abbeyhill  Edinburgh in the 1830's wife AGNES LANGWILL born Campbeltown 1810 they had children Janet/Thomas/Isabella /Mary and Agnes.I found the family living in Glasgow in 1851 census father was in lodgings in the Gallowgate and Agnes at 22 Kerr St Bridgeton with the children according to the info the children were all born in Edinburgh between 1831-1839 and last one in Glasgow 1841 but as yet i've been unable to find a single birth or baptism for them  even a marriage . I did find the marriage of David Johnston a China merchant to Agnes Long in Edinburgh 1829 College Parish Church St Cuthberts I suppose the Long could be a misspelling of Langwill or Longwill .Agnes's father was Peter Langwill who was Governor of Edinburgh Bridewell Prison in 1828-9 on Calton Hill  Any birth or 1841 census data would be greatly appreciated Thanks
