Rees / Harri(e)s of Swansea
« on: Thursday 20 April 06 12:27 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Has anyone any information on the marriage of David Rees b.1807 in St. John's, Swansea to Margaret Harri(e)s, I believe of Llangyfelach circa 1829.
I would also appreciate help on finding the parents of each of them. I believe his father was William Rees.

Hi Bathonian,

You'd need to check Parish Records for this info, as its prior to Civil Registration, (1837).

Best Wishes, Romilly.

Thanks for the reply, the last time I was at the Swansea Record Office I tried that but wasn't very successful in finding the wife. :( :-[

Do they have the Parish Records for Llangafelach there though? (I think that the Swansea Family History group have access to them, - have you tried requesting a Look-up through them?).

Hi Again,

Just a thought...but if you follow this link, it tells you which Parish Registers are held by West Glamorgan Archives:
