SUMMERS & TAYLOR in Lincoln area
« on: Saturday 22 April 06 03:33 BST (UK) »
I am researching the Summers and Taylor families.  My 3rd Gt Grandmother was Esther Taylor who married Charles Hare in Fillingham in 1785.  I assume she was born around 1765 but do not know where.  She was in Lincoln in 1825 when mentioned in her aunt's will.

Esther Summers is her aunt and born around 1737 died in 1825.  Married to Cecil Wray.

I would be very interested to hear from anyone with knowledge of either family.

Hi Bryan

Thank you for your reply.  I had found Easther Taylor and must admit she sounds a good candidate except for the spelling of her name.  It could have been a transcription error although I doubt it as her mother has the same forename.  I looked at the rest of the family hoping to find a John and George, who were siblings of my Esther Taylor, but none there.

I guess one way to find out would be to look at the film for Crowle.  Yet another film  :(

Thanks for your interest.

My great x3 grandfather John (Rawson) GOODWIN married a Mary Ann TAYLOR on June 22 1840 in Sutton St. Mary, Lincolnshire. These two, along with their children, emigrated to Canada in 1857. I have lots of information on these two if you're interested. I don't have the information on Mary Ann's parents here with me right now, but I will repost asap.

Kindest regards,

Kerry

Hello Kerry

I'm afraid I know very little about my Taylor family apart from my 3rd Gt Grandmother Esther Taylor. She was born around 1765 and according to a will had brothers George & John.  She could also have had sisters Rebecca and Ann.

She has become a complete mystery, I don't even know her parents names, very frustrating.  I have looked everywhere for her birth to no avail.

If you recognise any of these names, I would love to hear from you.
