Hello

WHINYATE sometimes occurs as a pre-nineteenth century variant of the surname I am interested in (WINDEATT/WINGETT/WINGATE).

I (and others) have been gathering information on the folk with these surnames who originate in Devon.  Have you come across any WHINYATEs from Devon?
