Hi Mike,
just to recap, the only thing I know is that Charles Gibson b 1898 in Kings Lynn married Grace "x" in an unknown year. Most probable year 1919 (being age 21 by then & after the war)
They had 2 children (known of) Charles & Ruth. We think Charles & Ruth are in this picture ,small boy  & girl on leftmost. The 2 other young girls shown were definetly born 1922.

In the other pic I will post shortly , is apparently Charles & Ruth grown up

H'mm -- well, Ancestry BMD beta is ok (only has missing any that the original indexers left out ::) ), but FreeBMD has no more than 1% of birth records after about 1910, so not really worth searching for what you want.

Think I'm beginning to run out of ideas, but haven't totally given up yet....  :-\

Cheers!

Hi Gazza  :)
 Have you tried this site?
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/index.php
It has link to many other sites, well known and less well known. All in parish order.
In particular
http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/
has a vast amount of info some free to view and others a small fee (Only pence)
If you look on the Norfolk list there is a particularly good listing of BMD. all free.
There is a lot here to give you a bit more inspiration.
I did have another thought   :P if you are reasonably sure of the area in which the marriage took place  8) get in touch with Register Office for the area and see if the Registrar can do a search for you as the info is missing from GRO.
Hope you find some thing here to help you

HI

Why don't you apply for one of the childrens birth certificate?   That would then give mother's maiden name.
