It depends upon which district this marriage was found in but possibly North Watson Street which was off of Garscube Road.

The marriage was found in the distrist of Blythswood at 207 West George Street.

Was this a marriage by proclamation of Banns according to whatever church they belonged to or a marriage by warrant.

If its the former it is likely that they lived in that area (or at least one of them did)  which could rule out North Watson Street.
If the latter it is possible that 207 West George Street is a Solicitors office and that neither of them lived in the Blytheswood area.

If you have a look at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~glasgow/index-glas.htm
it is an online copy of the Glasgow Post Office Directory for 1927 and has a street list.

Just did a little checking .... North Watson Street was renamed Callander Street in the 1930's or 40's and runs parallel to Garscube Road at its southern end ie nearest the city centre and probably only a 10-15 minute walk from the Blytheswood area.

Hi Falkyrn,
Thx for all your help so far. The marriage was by WARRANT by SHERRIFF-SUBSTITUTE of LANARKSHIRE.This couple were from County Antrim in Northern Ireland, and was unaware that they were ever out of Northern Ireland.I had been unable to find their marriage anywhere in Northern Ireland, so I decided to look elsewhere, thx to advice I received.
I was also suprised that the Husband's occupation was listed as a Foundry worker, as by all accounts he was a farmer/farm labourer.
I checked the directory you mentioned and at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~glasgow/1927streetlist25.jpg
207 West George Street is indeed the registrars office for Blytheswood.

I found the street names beginning with North ------- Street, and from that I believe your are correct about it being North Watson Street.

Once again thx for all your help.
Best wishes
