Parish Baptism & Marriage Lookup Jennings
« on: Wednesday 26 April 06 12:24 BST (UK) »
I'm needing help on locating the birth/baptismal record of a John JENNINGS, son of William JENNINGS and ANNE born in Wiltshire around the 1815-1825 timeline.

This isn't the John JENNINGS, son of William and Ann, born in Burbage around 1820, but my John Jennings did also marry a Lucy. My John Jennings married Lucy Alice EDE in Worksop, Nottingham in 1849.

I only have the timeline, the parents names and Wiltshire to go on plus a daughters baptism at Southbroom Saint James on 25 Dec 1854 , Susannah Jennings. All other children were born in Scotland.

I would appreciate any look ups or any assistant, suggestionsp to find where John is born and his parents marriage record.

NOTE: I have posted earlier a Census look up search, but I believe finding for certain where he was born and his parents is perhaps the better angle to start with. (see also Wiltshire 1841 look up http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,150554.0.html for additional information)

I would like to thank anyone who would be able to help me to locate a birth/baptismal or marriage record that ties in with the above information.

Best Regards

The marriage of William Jennings and Anne would be prior to 1818-1825 when John was born. The indexes at GRO and Free BMD cover from 1837.

I often use the indexes you have posted for information for my research. They are really good. It's a shame the earlier records are so hard to find in Wiltshire.

I am needing help searching the birth of John in Wiltshire, the parents marriage in indexes that aren't available online to my knowledge. A sighting in the 1841 census may provide hints as to the place where they are found.

Thanks for your help
