There is only one birth showing in Campelltown circa 1830 for an Alexander Martin and that's on 19 Aug 1830 to an Alexander Martin and an Ann Watt. Two more entries +/- 5 yrs father not Alexander.

Just seen the Glasgow 1841 entry. I wonder if the Jane McAuley age 20 might be a sister (if parents died when he was young?)

How sure are we on Alexander's mother being Agnes? I'm sure I can see Alexander and wife Ann with big family incl. Alexander in Glasgow. All born outside of county. I think this is the family as per IGI entry.

It's always hard to decipher when you don't have more examples of someone's hand writing...............but it could be Ann(e)!

Below is the family in 1841 FreeCen:

MARTIN Alexander 50    Mason Journeyman Outside Census County
MARTIN Ann   50                                   Lanarkshire
MARTIN   Francis    20    Mason Journeyman Outside Census County
MARTIN   Mary    20                        Outside Census County
MARTIN   Agnes   18    Cotton Power Loom Weaver Outside Census County MARTIN   Isabella 15    Cotton Power Loom Weaver Outside Census County      MARTIN   Jean   13                           Outside Census County
MARTIN    Alexander 11                      Outside Census County

Just been trying that site but could not find anything, I must be doing something wrong, this certainly looks

like them. Maybe I am a big slow but what does out of county mean? are they just working away from home

or moved locations?
