Photographic paper

I have an Hp deskjet 940c printer and i always use the 2 cartridges that HP suggest for the printing.
 Can someone recommend a really good make of paper for photos?

 I find that even though i always get  premium quality paper the colour finish can vary quite a bit.
 I cant remember which specific paper i first used when i got the printer and which gave really good colour results. Trouble is Hp do quite a few different sorts!!

I'm using ' Fujfilm premium' at the moment and am not very happy with the results. Thanks Poli.

It's claimed by some (generally those who sell the stuff) that you should stick to the manufacturers inks and papers. Personally I don't fully subscribe to this.

My own personal preference is Epson Glossy or HP Premium although I have been trialling "inkyjet" photogloss paper from Choice which appears just as good (and a lot cheaper)

Thanks for the reply Falkryn. i shall take a look at both your suggestions. I know what you mean about manufacturers advising their own products.
When you try a new type of photo paper you know straight away if you're satisfied with the end results or not and if the first lot of pics aren't really up to scratch you're then stuck with the whole packet of paper.
My pet hate with coloured prints are when the colours don't 'ring true'. Poli.
