Rice Family

Hi All,
I am looking to take my Rice family back.
My 4x g granddad Charles Rice was married on the 24 June 1814 to Unice Woolsey, but the marriage was in Suffolk.
When i found his death 1859, this gives me a birth year of 1770 ish.
The only Charles Rice born at that time was in Heathfield in Somerset.
Now Heathfield has a web site and i might now have got my 5 and 6 x great granddad's but what i have to do is connect them to my Rice family in Suffolk,
So is there anyone out there who is related to this family or knows any thing of the family please, this has come as a bit of a shock to me as i have been looking for a Spanish or Portuguese connection as i was told this is where we originate from.
