Looking for any information regarding
Francis Caven Wilson lived in Crosmichael was born 1810 in Buittle, I am looking to trace his parents James Wilson and Lucy Maxwell. I have no information other than the birth record? Any help?

I've just been looking at the MIs for Buittle and Crossmichael. I haven't found anything about James and Lucy yet but I do have a Francis Wilson d. Crossmichael village on 30 June 1887, aged 76. His wife, Barbara Vennie died Dumfries 15 February 1902 (advanced in years).

What is interesting is that there seem to be 4 graves close together - two Wilson, one Maxwell/Ireland and an Ireland.

I'll see if I can find any more.

The name Francis Cavan Wilson rings a bell somewhere - when I've been looking for my Wilsons in this area
