Lost entire family of ROWLAND after 1902!
« on: Sunday 17 October 04 04:14 BST (UK) »
I have the ROWLAND family in 1901(RG13/465 Folio 46) & husband/father Edward was in hospital at the time (RG13/460 Folio 144). Edward & son Maurice died in 1902 & I have lost all trace of this family except a daughter Annie. Family legend has it that there was a house fire & all died except Annie & she was brought up in an orphanage in Wales. I have checked the 1837online index for England & Wales from 1902-1920 & can't find any deaths or marriages except for Annie's marriage in 1911. Can someone tell me where I might find the voters list to see if they were still at their last known address: 40 Nelsons Row, Clapham, or can give any suggestions on where to go next.
Many thanks

East Sussex record office holds them certainly up to 1915,but don't forget women often weren't listed as head of the household till much later.
No harm trying them though, follow this link.
