Hello Kate.  Thank you for responding.

Eliza Perry married James White in 1869 in Birmingham.  She appears as Eliza White on subsequent English census returns (although it is incorrectly transcribed as Elvia in 1871) born c1838 in Nash, Monmouthshire.

I am interested in finding out who her parents were and if she had any siblings.

Thanks again Kate.

I will try and pursue the information that you and Mike have kindly provided and see if I can ascertain which (if any) is the correct family.

Do you, by any chance, know whereabouts in Monmouthshire Nash is and if so which of the families looks the more likely to have had their daughter born there (based on the other places mentioned) ?

Here's a reference to Nash

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MON/Nash/index.html

I would think William in the 1861 census above was born in Llantilio Pertholey.

The best way of determining which Eliza might be yours would be to obtain the marriage cert, which will give her father's name and occupation.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)
