« on: Friday 05 May 06 04:28 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I have just received a Marriage Certificate from the GRO England and the writing is a little on the faint side. could SKS please help me...as i cannot read the writing in some places....

My G.Grandparents John Higman and Amelia Seldon were married on 29th July, 1848  at Stoke -Damerel.

It look like the Marriage was solemnized @ something ?????Street Chapel in the District of Stoke Damerel in the County of Devon. Rites and Ceremonies of the Wesleyan ????? by me William Secombe.......Witness were. John Seldon. ( Amelia's Father) and Mary Ann Higman ( could be his Sister).

If someone has access to the records could you please help me..

Thank You,
Faysie in Oz.

Hi

Looking at this link *http://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/StokeDamerel/#ChurchRecords* could it be Morice Street? As this is where the Wesleyan Chapel is situated. I think the other missing word would be Chapel....

Hope this helps
